About
Agnes of Evreux was a daughter of Count Richard of Evreux, of the ducal cadet line that sprang from an archbishop of Rouen and ran back to Richard the Fearless and Gunnor. She married Simon de Montfort and was mother of Bertrade - which makes her the grandmother of a king of Jerusalem and, by the long braid, an ancestress of the Plantagenets this family descends from twice over.
