About

Alice Dutton was of the Duttons of Dutton, one of the oldest houses in Cheshire - the family that held the curious hereditary right of licensing the county's minstrels. She married Richard de Bunbury, and her name in the pedigree ties the Bunburys into the heart of the old county gentry.
