About
Alys ferch Owain Glyndwr was a hunted man's daughter who married the sheriff sent to hunt him. Her secret wedding to Sir John Scudamore, made while her father was still a proscribed rebel, carried the blood of the princes of Powys quietly into the gentry of the English March, where it survived attainder, discovery and four more centuries to reach this family. Through her the tree climbs to Glyndwr himself, and behind him ten further rungs to the kings of Powys.
