✓ AMBROSE GOING, of BALLYPHILIP, b.1719, d.1780; m. BRIDGET HUNT. Corroborated independently TWICE: (a) the White family register page (J. D. White 1887, image ulsc:3183-182) lists among the family's own marriages 'Ambrose Going, Bridget Hunt 20 Oct. 1748' - the Whites recorded this marriage as one of theirs, which is itself a small argument that Bridget stood inside the White/Hunt circle; (b) WikiTree Going-101, web-checked 7 Aug 2026: married 20 Oct 1748 in co. Tipperary, buried Killenaule, will proved Cashel naming wife Bridget Hunt, sons William, John and Ambrose, and daughters Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Jane and Sarah. ⚠ OPEN ~: this family already descends from the HUNTS OF CURRAGH CHASE, co. Limerick (Vere Hunt I99014 and his daughter Jane Hunt I99011), and Bridget is of the right generation to be of that house - but NEITHER Burke's NOR the will names her father, and Hunts were thick on the ground in Limerick and Tipperary (Friarstown etc.).
