About
Anarawd ap Rhodri (d.916), King of Gwynedd, was the eldest son of Rhodri the Great and founder of the line of Aberffraw, the senior royal house of Wales. He avenged his father's death on the English at the battle remembered as 'God's vengeance for Rhodri', treated as an equal with Alfred the Great at the English court, and left Gwynedd to his heirs for four centuries. Our line runs through him to Owain Gwynedd and the princes.
