About
Andregoto Galindez was Countess of Aragon in her own right, heiress of the old Aznar counts, and her marriage to Garcia Sanchez of Pamplona carried the Pyrenean county into the Navarrese crown - the dowry from which the later Kingdom of Aragon would be carved for her descendant Ramiro. Set aside by her husband, she kept her county and died holding it in 972.
