✓ Anice (Avice), 'da. of Sir Walter de Faucomberge, of Skelton in Cleveland and Rise in Holderness [Lord Faucomberge]' (CP V 'Engaine' p.75); wife of Sir Nicholas Engaine (d. 1322); the manors of Coton and Colne Engaine were released to her 20 Jul 1323. Mother of John, Lord Engaine (b. 1302). Her mother: CP's Engaine article names only her father; his only recorded wife was Agnes de Brus of Skelton, who died between 1276 and 1279, and Anice (whose son was born 1302) fits as a daughter of that marriage - wired as ~ probable, not proven.
