Forename not recorded in the pedigree. m. Katherine (d 1642). Sons (BIFR order): John, Francis, Thomas, Richard. Earliest-known head of the Beamish line in our tree. Grade: ~ probable for the upward joins (secondary pedigree, not primary records). [DIRECT ANCESTOR OF THE COMPILER: flag added 24 Jul 2026 by walking the tree from Aynsley, so that this marker is reliable and can be searched.]

Research notes

*** CAUTION - POSSIBLE SAME-COUPLE (19 Sep 2026): this unnamed Ballymodan immigrant (wife Katherine d.1642) may be THE SAME MAN as the unnamed Kilmalooda settler I81014 (wife Catherine d.1642), father of Francis d.1679 - if so, John of West Gully and Francis of Kilmalooda were brothers and the tree's two Beamish roads merge here. NOT yet proven: do not treat the two couples as independent origins, and do not double-count them in ancestor statistics. Decisive test = Kilbrogan/Ballymodan register burials 1642; 1641 Depositions already checked = no Beamish in Ireland (closed negative, 19 Sep 2026). ||1659 CENSUS|| 'Thomas Beamish Esq' is a titulado of Bandon Bridge in Pender's Census c.1659 (p.200) - presumably the son Thomas of this pedigree (BIFR 3rd son), the family's Bandon townsman in the Commonwealth generation.
