Father of Francis Beamish of Kilmalooda (d.1679); forename not recorded; of the Munster-Plantation planter generation (the Beamishes settled on Phane Becher's grant west of Bandon, c.1580s-90s). His wife was Catherine (d.1642), "either the widow or more probably the daughter-in-law of the first Beamish settler" (Kingsley) - so the exact placement above Francis is uncertain (the first settler may be one generation higher). Grade: ~ probable / tradition. [DIRECT ANCESTOR OF THE COMPILER: flag added 24 Jul 2026 by walking the tree from Aynsley, so that this marker is reliable and can be searched.]

*** CAUTION - POSSIBLE SAME-COUPLE (19 Sep 2026): this unnamed Kilmalooda settler (wife Catherine d.1642) may be THE SAME MAN as the unnamed Ballymodan immigrant I80009 (wife Katherine, both d. by/in 1642) at the head of the Raheroon pedigree - if so, Francis of Kilmalooda and John of West Gully were brothers and the two Beamish roads merge here. NOT yet proven: do not treat the two couples as independent origins, and do not double-count them in ancestor statistics. Checked 19 Sep 2026: 1641 Depositions = no Beamish/Beames anywhere in Ireland (closed negative); Down Survey/BSD online = images only, unread; decisive test = Kilbrogan/Ballymodan register burials 1642 (RCB/West Cork Heritage Centre - see the Kilbrogan docket item).
