Edmond FitzMaurice, ninth Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, attended the Dublin Parliament of June 1541 that proclaimed Henry the Eighth King of Ireland, and died five months later while attending the next session. He married Una MacMahon.

✓ DOCUMENTED (Source: Burke's Peerage (modern edn), LANSDOWNE lineage pp.2237-38, re-photographed and read 22 Jul 2026.): EDMOND FITZMAURICE, 9TH BARON OF KERRY AND LIXNAW - "attended the Dublin Parl which proclaimed HENRY VIII KING OF IRELAND June 1541 and signed the report to the KING; d while attending the next session of Parl at Limerick Nov 1541". m. 1st UNA MACMAHON (our line - mother of all four sons); m. 2nd Amy, dau. of Turlogh Mac-I-Brien-Ara and widow of the 10th Earl of Desmond (no issue). Sons: Edmond (d.v.p. c. 1540), PATRICK 10th Baron (d. 1542; his boys Edmond 11th and Thomas 12th each d. young 1542/3), GERALD 13th Baron "The Redhaired" (killed 1543, two months after succeeding his own nephew), and THOMAS THE 14TH BARON (our line, I99150) - the 10th-13th all COLLATERAL.
