Ellen (Berkeley)

✓ Ellen, wife (c.1429) of the posthumous Sir Maurice Berkeley of Stoke Gifford (d. 1464); endowed as his widow Feb 1464/5 'in the presence of the said William Berkeley Esq. sonne and heire'; in 1474/5 'Ellen lady Berkeley of Stoke Gifford widowe' released lands to 'Maurice Berkeley, Esq., her third sonne', whose eldest brother was William - so she was William's mother.
