✓ Erard II, Count of Brienne (succeeded c.1161, d. 8 Feb [1190/91] on the Third Crusade), son of Gauthier II and Humbeline de Baudement (in his father's charter of 1143); m. before 1166 Agnes de Montbeliard ('Agnetis uxoris mee', 1166). Father of Gauthier III, Guillaume and John, King of Jerusalem (William of Tyre's continuator names Count Gauthier 'fiz dou conte Erart de Brienne et de la fille dou conte Ami de Monbliart', with 'Johan de Briene qui fu de Jerusalem rois' as his brother).
