✓ as a person, ~ as Mabel's father: Sir Fulk FitzWarin of Whittington, Salop, and Alveston, co. Gloucester, 'd. 14 May 1264, being drowned in the Ouse, when endeavouring to escape, at the battle of Lewes' ('in flumine vicino submersus' - Rishanger); 's. and h. of Fulk fitz Warin of Whittington (living Oct. 1250)'; m. Constance, da. of Sir Ralph de Tony of Castle Maud, co. Radnor, by Pernel (de Lacy) - who gave Yarkhill 'in free marriage to Fulk fitz Warin and Constance his wife' (CP V 'FitzWarin' pp.495-496 and note (c)). His mother - Maud le Vavasour (widow of Theobald Walter) or Clarice d'Auberville, his father's two wives - is not identified: NOT WIRED. Father of Fulk, 1st Lord FitzWarin (b. 1251), and, by Medieval Lands' reasoning, of Mabel, Lady Tregoz - by Constance de Tosny or by an unrecorded Clifford first wife (see Mabel's note), so Mabel is placed with him alone and Constance is note-only (she would otherwise ring to Raoul de Tosny VI and Pernel de Lacy, F100587).
