✓ Geoffroy, Vicomte de Porhoët (succeeded his brother Joscelin before 1114, d. 1142), son of Vicomte Eudes [I]; named with his brothers in Joscelin's 1108 charter to Saint-Martin de Porhoët and in an agreement with Marmoutier ('Gauffredus vicecomes de Porrehodio castro et fratres eius Alanus et Bernardus'). m. Hawise. His son Eudes confirmed in 1153 a gift of 'Dominus Gaufridus pater meus' with the consent of 'fratrum meorum Joscii vicecomitis et Alani Ceoche' - this Alain 'Ceoche' being Alan la Zouche (I100982), who settled in England by 1172. Another son, Eudes [II], became Duke of Brittany in 1148 by right of his wife (a brother of our line, not an ancestor). Source: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), Brittany Nobility (Porhoët), citing the Josselin and Marmoutier charters.
