~ Harald 'Grenske' ([947]-murdered 995), son of Gudrod Bjornsson (Historia Norwegie: 'Haroldum Grensca' son of 'Gudrodus', named from being brought up 'in Grenlandia'); ruled Vingulmark, Vestfold and Agder under the Danish king from 965; father of St Olaf (born after his death). His descent from Harald Fairhair through Gudrod and Bjorn is saga tradition - not wired. TOP - nothing further wired. Recent scholarship has questioned the historicity of Harald'; his father Gudrod 'is claimed to have been grandson of Harald Fairhair'. Named as Olaf's father by the Historia Norwegie and Snorri only - chronicle/saga rung, so ~ under the house rule. Descent from Harald Fairhair stays NOTE-ONLY. Wife Asta Gudbrandsdatter wired at ~.
