✓ Hawise, elder daughter and coheir of Sir William Malet of Curry Malet, Somerset (one of the twenty-five Magna Carta sureties, d. c.1216); m. 1st Sir Hugh Poinz (Poyntz), who d. 4 Apr 1220; m. 2nd, before 11 Feb 1220/1, Sir Robert de Muscegros of Charlton and Boddington (d. 29 Jan 1253/4) - CP V chart: 'Hawise, da. and coh. of Sir William Malet, of Curry Malet: living before 11 Feb. 1220/1 (m. 1, Sir Hugh Poinz, who d. 4 Apr. 1220)'. Mother of Sir John de Muscegros (b. 10 Aug 1232). CORRECTION 27 Oct 2026: first entered (w46) as wife of Sir William Avenel through a mis-read of the two-column chart; the Avenel column's wife is Aline. Her mother is not entered: CP X 'Poyntz' gave Alice Basset, which later work doubts (William Malet's daughters were probably by an earlier wife). Source: Complete Peerage 2nd ed. vol. V (1926), Ferrers/Muscegros pedigree chart inserted between pp.596-597 (archive.org completepeerageo51coka), re-read 27 Oct 2026 column by column.
