Henry de Percy of Alnwick

Henry de Percy, who died in 1272, steered the family through the baronial wars and toward the northern destiny his son would buy: it was the next generation's purchase of Alnwick that turned a Yorkshire house into the wardens of the border. He is the bridge between the Topcliffe Percys and the legend.
