About

Honora FitzGerald was a daughter of Sir Edmond FitzGerald of Ballymaloe and Cloyne in east Cork, and she married Patrick, seventeenth Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, by March 1618. She is one of a chain of Honoras that runs through this family for a century and a half, the name entering with the O'Briens of Thomond and passing down through the FitzMaurices to the Honora who married into the Piers family.
