Jane Atkins

✓ Jane, dau. of John Atkins of Minehead, Somerset; wife of Jasper Lucas, merchant of Youghal (I81009); mother of Jasper (m. 1685). BLGI 1912 'Lucas of Rathealy' (which misprints the husband's death as 'circa 1630' - he was the merchant who 'settled at Youghal about the year 1640'; the chart's c.1680 is right). The chart already named her. Source: Burke's Landed Gentry of Ireland (1912), 'Lucas of Rathealy' p.421-2 and 'Herrick of Shippool' p.316, archive.org genealogicalhera00burkuoft, read 26 Oct 2026.
