About
John Blount, third Baron Mountjoy, was Governor of Guines by Calais through the last decade of the Wars of the Roses, holding England's continental toehold while the crown changed heads behind him; he died in October 1485, weeks after Bosworth put a Tudor on the throne. He married Lora Berkeley of Beverstone, and the line runs through their son.
