✓ JOHN ROCHE, of FERMOY (fl. late 13th c.); m. Eleanor FitzMaurice; father of Blanche, Countess of Kildare (I100157, our line). Of the same Fermoy house as our later Viscounts Roche (I100230 etc.) but the connecting generations are within CP's 'extremely obscure' early Roche pedigree - kinship certain, chain note-only.
