Research notes

✓ Brut; Lloyd: MAREDUDD AP BLEDDYN (d.1132); father of Madog (our line). Added 14 Sep 2026. VERIFIED FIRST-HAND same day (challenge from another chat answered): Lloyd vol.2 pp.70, 80, 122 - 'Maredudd ap Bleddyn' among 'the sons of Bleddyn' 1102 (fighting for Robert de Belleme, himself an ancestor here), 'the posterity of Bleddyn', d.1132 'lord of the whole land of Powys'; Madog's succession 1132 and the index line 'ap Maredudd ap Bleddyn' string all three generations. Chronicle-attested (Brut), NOT pedigree-tract.
