~ Margaret, wife of Edward Norris of Speke (d. 1606), identified as Margaret Smallwood from initials and inscriptions at Speke Hall (VCH Lancashire III, 'Speke', note to Edward's entry); mother of his children 'many in number', among them Martha (I99618), wife of Sir Henry Bunbury of Stanney, there being no other known wife.
