✓ Mary de Ros, third wife (m. 1271 or before) of William de Braose, Lord Brewose; mother of William (d.1326), Richard, Peter and Margaret (Wrottesley, from the De Banco claim of Thomas de Breouse v. Aline de Mowbray). Medieval Lands calls her daughter of 'William de Ros of Helmsley, Lord Ros' and Isabel d'Aubigny of Belvoir; by date she would rather be daughter of Robert de Ros (d.1285) and Isabel d'Aubigny (I99813 x I99814) - CONFIRMED and WIRED 19 Oct 2026: CP XI p.96 note (d) names Robert's daughters 'Isabel, who m. Walter (de Fauconberge)... and Mary, who m., as his 3rd wife, William, 1st Lord Brewes' (Cal. Inq. p.m. vi nos.702, 723). RING: the Braose and Ros lines meet in her. DWB makes Richard and Peter her sons and William 'the eldest son' without naming his mother. Sources: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), 'English Lords A-C', Brewes (Briouse/Braose); W. Rees, 'Braose family', Dictionary of Welsh Biography (1959).
