Mason; father of James Bowdren (m. Mary Callaghan 1867). Given as Michael Bowdren, mason, on James's 1867 civil marriage register - so three generations of Bowdren masons (Michael > James > Eugene). Likely of the Co. Wexford Bowdrens, James being Wexford-born. NB do NOT merge with the Michael Bowdren (bachelor shoemaker, son of Thomas Bowdren mason) who m. Hanna Griffin at Bartlemy/Rathcormac in 1868 - a different, younger namesake from the NE-Cork Bowdren mason family (our Michael was already James's father by the early 1840s).
