Muiris Caomhánach Mac Murchadha

✓ as a name: Muiris (Maurice) Caomhanach, father of Muircheartach and grandfather of Art Mor - AFM 1416.9 'son of Mortogh Kavanagh, son of Maurice Kavanagh, &c.' TOP - DELIBERATE STOP: the pedigrees (O'Hart; Byrne's tables) make him a son of Muircheartach Mac Murchadha, King of Leinster, killed with his brother Art by the English in 1282 (AFM 1282.1; AU 1279.6; AConn 1282.2), son of Domhnall Og, son of Domhnall Caomhanach (k. 1175), son of Diarmait Mac Murchada, King of Leinster - which would ring onto Diarmait, already in the tree as father of Aoife (I99572) and Orlacan (I99643). No annal states the Muiris-Muircheartach link, so it is left note-only.
