✓ Murrough (Murchad) 'na madhmann' ('of the defeats') O'Conor Faly, Lord (king) of Offaly 1384-1421: AFM 1458 names Calvagh More as 'son of Murrough-na-madhmann'. Lord of Offaly by 1385 (AFM 1385, victory with the Kinel-Fiachach); with others defeated the English of Meath at Cill-Eochain 1414; in 1421 routed MacGillapatrick's raiders, then retired to the friars at Killeigh, named his kinsman Dermot as successor, and died about a month later, buried at Killeigh (AFM 1421; AC and AU 1421 'king of Offaly'). His wife is not recorded. ~ AS SON OF MUIRCHERTACH OG (d. 1384): the king-lists give him as 'Murchad mac Muircheartaig Og' and he succeeded in 1384, but no annal seen states the filiation.
