Research notes

✓ OWAIN GWYNEDD (c.1100-1170), King of GWYNEDD, first to be styled PRINCE OF WALES; father of Iorwerth Drwyndwn (our line; Iorwerth's mother Gwladus ferch Llywarch, note-only). Source: the standard Gwynedd royal genealogy (Bartrum/Dictionary of Welsh Biography), web-confirmed 6 Aug 2026; these are the documented medieval Welsh king-lists, generally accepted by historians; contested rungs note-only, not hardened. || SECOND ROAD OPENED 14 Sep 2026: his daughter ANGHARAD (F100304, mother unrecorded among his several consorts - stated plainly) married GRUFFYDD MAELOR of Powys, so Owain Gwynedd now stands on BOTH the Gwynedd road (via Iorwerth > Llywelyn the Great) and the new Powys Fadog road (via Angharad > Glyndwr's line). Wife GWLADUS added to F99946 as Iorwerth's mother.
