About
Patrick FitzMaurice, fifteenth Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, was born about 1541 and married Jane Roche, a daughter of the fifth Lord Roche of Fermoy. He died in August 1600, in the middle of the war that would see his grandson carried out of Listowel Castle as a child.

✓ DOCUMENTED (Burke's LANSDOWNE lineage p.2238): PATRICK FITZMAURICE, 15TH BARON OF KERRY AND LIXNAW; b. c. 1541; m. JANE ROCHE, dau. of David, 5th Lord Roche of Fermoy; d. 12 Aug 1600. (He and his son Thomas were the 1600-03 rebels pardoned in 1603.) Per Bourke (JCHAS 26, 1920): in the final ruin of the rebellion his seat of Lixnaw was taken, he became a fugitive, and 'was so dismayed by the ruin of his fortunes that he died broken-hearted in August of that year' - matching the documented 12 Aug 1600.
