About
Pons (c.990-1060), Count of Toulouse, held the great southern county between the Rhône and the Garonne in the generation before the crusades made his house famous. His son Raymond IV of Saint-Gilles led the First Crusade's southern army; our own line runs through the elder son, William IV. Toulouse blood joins ours on the road to the Plantagenet queens.
