About

Reginald de Braose spent his life recovering what King John had destroyed: his father hunted to death in exile, his mother and brother starved at Corfe, the great Marcher inheritance shattered. Piece by piece, through the civil war and the minority, he won the lands back, and died in 1228 with the house rebuilt - the survivor's generation between the horror and the history.

Research notes
