Father of David, first Lord of Stanney (our line). *** ORMEROD CORRECTION (23 Jul 2026): the common pedigrees (and my earlier Turtle-Bunbury wiring) WRONGLY inserted 'HUGH DE BUNBURY x Christiana Malpas' here as son of William and father of Richard - Ormerod states this is ERRONEOUS: the real Hugh (31 Edw.1-3 Edw.2) married CATHERINE BEESTON and was a COLLATERAL, not in this direct line. THE MALPAS/POWYS (Owain Cyfeiliog) DESCENT THEREFORE DOES NOT REACH THE BUNBURYS - it belonged to the senior ST PIERRE OF CAUSE line (Urian de St Pierre x Idonea de Malpas), a different branch.
