Richard Talbot of Linton

✓ Richard Talbot, granted the manor of Linton, co. Hereford, by Henry II for his service (charter inspected 1328 in favour of his 'kinsman and heir' Gilbert, 1st Lord Talbot); held Linton and Wilton jointly with Hugh de Longchamp from 1155-56; living 1174, d. before Michaelmas 1175. Wife unknown (Collins: a daughter of Stephen Bulmer of Appletreewick - unproved). CP (Loyd) finds nothing to show his origin - the CEILING of the Eccleswall Talbots.
