About

Sancho Garcia, Count of Castile, was remembered as the Count of the Good Laws - el de los Buenos Fueros - for the charters of liberties he granted his frontier towns to hold them against the Moors' return. He died in 1017; his daughter Muniadona married Sancho the Great of Navarre, and Castile's inheritance travelled with her.
