~ COLLATERAL, NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR (corrected 24 Jul 2026). SIR ANTHONY GIBBON (Guybon) of Lynn, Norfolk; father of BRIDGET GIBBON (I99501), the SECOND wife of Aubrey de Vere. Previously carried here as the maternal grandfather of Jane Vere on the strength of the Visitation of Essex p.47; that reading is now corrected. Jane's mother was Aubrey's FIRST wife, Margaret Spring (I99701), so this whole Gibbon branch leaves the direct line. See I99501 and I99104 for the working. Corrected 24 Jul 2026.
