About
Sir Henry Raleigh, at the head of the visitation pedigree, married Mabel, coheiress of Sir John Pincherdon - and the Pincherdon cross-moline still stands quartered in the Raleigh arms the heralds recorded, the marriage legible in the shield three centuries later. Above him the pedigree honestly stops.
