Research notes
~ Thietburga, wife of Dedo I and mother of Dietrich; her Haldensleben parentage (daughter of Dietrich, Margrave of the Nordmark) is deduced from her brother Bernhard being called 'avunculus' of her son - not wired. Source: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), 'Meissen'. [DIRECT ANCESTOR OF THE COMPILER: flag added 19 Oct 2026 by walking the tree from Aynsley, so that this marker is reliable and can be searched.]
