Thomas Bousfield Herrick was the last Herrick of Shippool in the male line: he had four daughters and no sons, and left the estate to his wife and then to his eldest girl.

✓ THOMAS BOUSFIELD HERRICK, of SHIPPOOL, J.P., b. 25 Feb 1819, d. 6 Feb 1892; m. 23 Apr 1844 ELIZA ANNE, 2nd dau. of JOHN TONSON RYE of RYE COURT, co. Cork, 'to whom he devised his estate'; FOUR DAUGHTERS AND NO SONS. THE SHIPPOOL MALE LINE ENDS HERE - the seat passed to his widow (d. 2 Jan 1903) and then to his eldest daughter Mary Eliza, whose husband took the name Herrick.
