Thomas FitzMaurice, seventh Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, was known as the Stammerer. He married a daughter of the house of Desmond in 1447.

Younger sons Robert (ancestor of the FitzMaurices of Ardglas and Tubrid) and John (Abbot of Rattoo 1488); dau. Mary m. her cousin the Knight of Glin. Direct ancestor.
