About

Trahaearn ap Caradog (killed 1081), King of Gwynedd, of Arwystli stock, took the northern throne in the chaos of 1075 and held it until the battle of Mynydd Carn, where Gruffudd ap Cynan and Rhys ap Tewdwr destroyed him. Both victors are our ancestors; and now, through his son's daughter, so is the man they defeated: the tree holds every commander on that field.
