William de Cantilupe I

✓ William [I] de Cantilupe, 1st feudal baron of Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire, Baron of the Exchequer, steward of the household to John as Count of Mortain and as king; d. 7 Apr 1239, buried at Studley Priory. Father of William [II] (I100509, d. 1251), of Walter de Cantilupe, Bishop of Worcester, and of Isabel (m. Stephen Devereux). His own parentage has never been established (D.
