In 1201 Earl Ferrers sub-granted Drakelowe to him by the curious serjeanty by which the Earl held it of the King - a bow without a string, a quiver of Tutbury make, feathered arrows and a broad-headed shaft. Last found April 1220 as a juror at Lichfield. m. Basilia (see her record). Source: Falconer Madan, The Gresleys of Drakelowe (Oxford, 1899; archive.org The_Gresleys_of_Drakelowe), chs.
