Agnes de Poitou (Mathilde)

~ Agnes (Mathilde) de Poitou ([1103]-[1160 or before]), wife (before 9 Jan 1118) of Aimery VI, Vicomte de Thouars; Medieval Lands makes her da. of William IX, Duke of Aquitaine, by Philippa of Toulouse (Chronicle of Saint-Maixent: one of Count William's five daughters married 'vicecomiti Toarcensi'), noting that primary sources assign her two different parentages - hence ~. RING into William IX x Philippa. Source: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), read 2 Nov 2026: 'Western Poitou' (Vicomtes de Thouars).
