About
Agnes Ryves was a daughter of Robert Ryves of Damory Court, and she married John Swayne of Blandford. She is the quiet hinge of one of this history's best coincidences: through her the family are literal descendants of the house at Blandford that keeps Sir Roger d'Amory's name alive, three centuries before anyone in the family knew the name mattered. The Swayne pedigree and Hutchins's Dorset both carry the rung.
Research notes
Daughter of Robert Ryves of Damory Court, Blandford (per the Swayne pedigree; Hutchins). m. John Swayne of Blandford. Through her, the line touches DAMORY COURT - the Dorset seat of Sir Roger d'Amory (see her father Robert Ryves's note): not a Damery bloodline (the Ryves bought it), but a genuine convergence with the paternal name's d'Amory tradition. Marriage: John Swayne x Agnes Ryves, married before 20 Oct 1549.
