Wife of Robert Freke; daughter of John Swayne of Blandford Forum and SISTER of Robert Swayne of Gunville (this resolves the 'Gunville' attribution - Gunville was her brother's seat). Buried at Ewerne Courtney 28 Apr 1577 per John Hutchins, History and Antiquities of the County of Dorset (1861-73), Pedigree of Freke of Shroton (from the Heralds' Visitations of Dorset 1623, Harl. 1166 f.29 (signed Ro. Freake) & 1141 f.116, and the Shroton/Hinton St Mary parish registers); the parish register records "mrs Alyes freke the wife of mr Robert freke" buried late April 1577. Mother of Sir Thomas Freke (heir), Robert (d.s.p.) and William Freke. Added/refined June 2026.
