About

Alexander de Bunnebury, living in 1231, was heir male to the coheiress Joan de Bunnebury and so kept the family name on the family land - one of those quiet legal rescues by which a house survives its own daughters' marriages. Ormerod traces him from the recognizance rolls; his son William carried the moiety onward.
