Anna Jacob was an only daughter and heiress, and she was the mother of all Colonel Richard's surviving children, Margaret among them.

✓ ANNA, ONLY DAU. AND HEIR of MATTHEW JACOB of ST JOHNSTOWN, co. Tipperary; m. 1782, as his 1st wife, Col. Richard Pennefather of New Park. Burke's is explicit that 'by the 1st wife ONLY he had issue to survive youth, three sons and five daus.' - so Anna, and neither of his two later wives (Penelope, relict of John Jacob Gledstanes of Annesgift, m.1801; and Elizabeth, dau. of Nicholas Mansergh of Grenane), is the mother of MARGARET (I100275, 4th dau., m.
