About

Anne Browne of New Grove in County Clare became the second wife of Vere Hunt of Curragh in May 1760, and she is the mother of Jane Hunt, through whom this family descends. She was entirely missing from the tree until 1906 and a careful entry in Cokayne restored her, along with her Browne and Westropp parents. She is a good illustration of how these lines are lost: nobody had asked who the second wife was.
