Donald Bán (c.1033-1099), King of Scots, 'Donalbain' of Shakespeare's play, was Malcolm Canmore's younger brother who seized the throne at his brother's death in 1093, was deposed by his nephew Duncan, regained it, and was finally overthrown and blinded by another nephew, Edgar, dying a prisoner - the last king buried on Iona.
