About

Edward Jones of Drombeg was the founder's heir and held the estate through the middle of the eighteenth century. He was buried at Ross in August 1774, and his will, made that April, styles his residence Droumbegg, now Mount Pleasant, which catches a family in the act of renaming its own house. The original will burned with the Public Record Office in 1922; what survives is the abstract a Victorian antiquary took while it still existed.
